URGENT question on SP duration

Hi

I have to apply for a tusy permit next week. Plz help. If I am planning to take up a Graduate Certificate study program in Canada for 8 months, what duration will my study permit be issued for?

I heard that they give you SP starting one month prior to start of study and it expires 3 months after end of study program. So if I have to study from from Sept 1 to April 30, then the SP is given from August 1 to July 31. Is this true?

PLEASE PLEASE HELP

most probably thts true, but it depends on the program, which institution, your profile, etc.
