Hi there,
First of all I would thank and congratulat the admins of this great website ,When even I need any advice I know this is the website to get that. And I also keep visiting the questions incase I might have been through the same situation so that I can answer that.
Now I have a question
Me and my Mrs. came over to Canada I am the primary applicant and I came over under the Pilot Program for Long Haul Truck drivers in Alberta. We chose this category so that we could get the PR in Canada a bit quickly so that we can start our life in a better way. But the company I am working for has a bad impression in regards of immigration , cause many of the people who applied for their AINP in December 2012 have not heard anything back from the immigration office yet. And some one told me that any of this company’s previous employee has reported this company for charging/asking money for immigration and bla bla and they had a raid from the immigration officers in this company’s office.
I am really concerned about all this ,it has been about 6-7 months since I started working in Alberta as a Long Haul Truck driver and this job is really hard to co-op with especially for a person who has a family. My wife is working for a good employer in Alberta and her employer is willing to help us out so that my Mrs. can get her work permit from her present employer and I can get an open work permit and work for any local company or do any local job so that I could be home daily.
Can you please guide us if that is possible? Her job is related to the Leather Furs clothing . we are not sure if it comes under skilled or semi-skilled workers or not.
Also can you please shed some light on What the employer will have to do if this all could work out?
Many Thanks.
