Exchange rate from US to UK

I have a question for anyone from the US applying for the HSMP program. The current exchange rate of the dollar to the pound is killing me on the points. I'm showing no points for my $60K US converting over to the UK.
How did you work around this?

Also, what do they consider graduate level experience? I've been working in my profession for 11 years after college - 7 in a highly skilled position/5 of those at a Management Level.

Also (and I promise the last one) how do they view resumes? Or is it a must have to get employer recommendations? I do not want my employer to know I'm seeking employment elsewhere.

I think you are looking for an exchange rate of 1.71 for a £35K

dont expect the rates to move there in a hurry unless we see a black wednesday! With interest rates expected to move higher, we will see the sterling strength continue for some time.

On a closing basis the average daily rate for the past one year works out to just under 1.7000, ie. 1.6915.

Assuming you earned salary evenly throughout the year there is no reason why they shouldnt allow you to use the average. Probably they may ask you to use monthly average.

End apr 03-end mar 04 average is 1.7045
End mar 03 - end feb 03 average is 1.6838

To be safe apply today!! and use 1.6838 If you wait till end Apr 04, you will have to use 1.7045

Employment details must include your tasks and responsibilities not just your designation/job title and length of service. If you do not want your employer to know of your intentions you will have to use your employment contract and or/ performance review/ sales contracts etc which describe the responsibilities of your role, the tasks you have been doing and the success achieved. Ultimatley the onus is on you to provide proof of your claimed points to the HSMP Team and if you don't then its no points unfortunatley.

My question more is - what is considered senior level? Is it any professional job in my field or just those where I managed a staff.
