Residence card and bank accounts

Post by Latintraveller » Mon Jun 10, 2013 10:40 am

I have recently submitted an EU1 form for my wife and son's residence card. I have been building up a cleaning business for the last few months. Due to the nature of payment (cash) I have not opened a bank account for the business as we have a hand to mouth existence (i.e. do a few jobs and buy the petrol, do a few more jobs and buy some groceries). Also, the bank keeps very inconvenient hours (10am to 4pm).
Since I have submitted lists of jobs carried out and profit and loss accounts as well as the letter of registration of self employment with the revenue does anything think we will have any problems getting the residence cards?

There are many ways that I can give evidence of trading. I could send my list of customers and they could contact a few. I just wondered if immigration are rigid in what they call evidence.

I think they will probably be fine, but to be on the safe side it might be a good idea to send them an email to confirm they are happy with the type of documents you provided: eutreatyrights@justice.ie

They usually reply within a few days.

That is a grand idea!
Thanks.

btw They are now taking 5 to 6 weeks in issuing the six month temporary residence card according to an email I received recently. Has anyone else had a wait that long?
