Hi guys I have a quick update for u .... I have got the possession of my passport thanks God visa has been issued and going to uk on this coming Tuesday night hopefully .......

guys if a case goes in review , how long does it take to hear back from them ??


not appeal , just the time scale of review from ECM

Appeal Timescale

Hi there,

I can confirm normally after appeal is lodged you get an IA10 Notice of Review within 3-4 weeks which gives ECM a review date of approx 5-6 months and then it goes to court which is an additional time of 2-3 months.

All in all process of appeal can take 6-9 months and if it gets overturned then 3-6 months.

Application submitted. 09/02/12
Passport returned refused. 20/06/12
Appeal lodged. 04/07/12
ECM review deadline. 25/12/12
Court hearing. 16/04/13
Call letter received. 22/05/13
Passport submitted at Lahore. 23/05/13
Passport returned. 05/05/13
Collected. 06/06/13
Visa issued

hello my appeal deadline is 17th june but i didnt recieve any call or letter from bhc. plz tell me if any one get result overturned before court date. how they will contact me?

Hey Dude,

Sorry to hear your visa has not been overturned but we are all on the same situation here. There were 2 visa's who did get overturned just some days before deadline date but after that things have went quiet.

However if it does not get overturned it will go to an immigration court in UK and you will get a letter stating all details such as date etc etc. Normally you should be look at a date of September if it does not get overturned.

Also I would advise to contact your MP as it might make a difference.

how you can say that my result is not overturned? now 6 days left may be i will get some good news.as i believe on ALLAH . IN SHA ALLAH i will get before court date

Hey man calm down as I did not say your visa will not get overturned I am just telling you the procedure as you asked for info. I hope all visa's get overturned but to be honest they are not going anywhere as I am in the same situation.

Reason for refusal was incomplete financial docs. Submitted 6 months of slips and statements instead of 12. Also employer ref letter was missing.

I emailed BHC a couple of times for updates and had gone to my MP last week as we came close to deadline.

Question: do we need to do tb test again? Wife says the tb test certificate from IOM does not have expiry date on it.
Passport submitted 29 May
RFC 5 Jun
Collected 9 Jun. Visa granted. :)

Good luck all. Patience will be much needed.

Heyy have been following this forum and have posted previously.. My timeline is: applied for hubby visa 6/7/12 refused on 28/12/12 due to financial reasons and property letter needed from my dad we lodged appeal on 25th jan and have been given deadline till july 8th..I'm still hoping for appeal to be withdrawn but duno.. I have got in touch with my mp and he has said he's got in touch with bhc and will ask them for a update and ask them to review decision,please pray for me that the matter is resolved before court as I have a baby girl and have been married for 3 years. Munashak..inshallah you will hear good news I will pray for you and keep us informed about what happens
