Hoping for ILR after 4yrs

Hoping for ILR after 4yrs

Am hoping for the 4-5 yrs rule to be reversed at the JR.
I will clock 4yrs in July 2008, my family came in 3 months after i came in, that means they will clock 4yrs Oct 2008.
Will i be able to apply for ILR for all of us as one application in July 2008? Or would they need to clock four years too before they can qualify for ILR?
All this is hoping the rule changes for those that came in before Nov 06.

Yes all your family can apply at the same time and you can include them in your application.

Whilst I believe the JR will succeed.
There are a few interesting questions which may pop up in the future.

What about people who have already paid for the extention to there four years?
Will they have to pay the full amount for a IRL if the JR is successfull or will they paid the difference or will the extention just be regarded a ILR for thosed effected?

They will not be refunded, i for one have extension till 2011 which would still be valid even when i get citizenship. That will be the cost for us to bear.

I assume you are on a work permit if you already has a extention?

Wrong, after you get your citizenship all your WP / HSMP visa's are nullified
