Tourist Visa for Parents as Tier 2 Visa is expiring

Hello,

I am currently on a Tier 2 ICT which expires on 21 August 2013. I will be applying for extension soon. However, I would like to bring my parents for a month long visit in July/August. I have the following questions regarding this,

1. Can they apply for a tourist visa instead of a family visitor (as my visa will be under processing)?
2. If so, should they declare that I live here?
3. If yes, what are the documents I should produce?
4. Will booking for a hotel suffice for the accommodation requirement?
