I know I can apply for naturalization next year but want to find out what happens if my marriage does not make it till next year (I know it sounds awful). I am sick of my british husband telling me that I am dependent on him for being in this country and that if we split up, I'll have to return to south africa and he'll make sure our daughter stays with him as she is british...
