Fiance Visa -input needed

Post by tasteofink » Wed Sep 15, 2004 12:24 am

Ive read many topics in this forum and i've been pleasantly suprised by the quality of the responses. Im asking u for advice and evaluation of my situation. it would be much appreciated

I'll spare all the details and get right to the point.
Im a british, hes romanian.
We are engaged we plan to get married. I belive we fulfill all the requirements stated by the visa officers.
Im unsure about one thing. and idd really apreciate ur imput here.

its gotta do with financial evidence.
i dont know if what i got will be enough.
My income is 800-900 gpb per month. i can back this statement up with evidence and letters from my employer. I rent a house together with my brother and we share the costs. As for other funds i got a bank depposit of 3000 gbp and my fiance has 10.000 euro (7000 gbp) in his. my parents are willing to help us if needed too.

question is: will this be enough? i do worry that they will say i dont have enough funds to support my fiance till he can work. in fact im panicking a bit cos we're waiting for this moment for 3 years and i cant take it much longer. i need him.

pls tell me what u think.
thanx so much

Finances look ok, but you would need to tell the region where you are in order to be sure.

Regarding your lease, try to include a note from the landlord saying that the accomodation is suitable for 3 people and that it's ok with them for an additional occupant to live there...

Let us hope your paths do not cross with the 'BNP' as Burnley is their 'strunglehold'

hi / salut :)

Im from Northern Ireland and my husband is from Bucharest Romania. We got his fiance visa in bucharest in April 2003 it was a rather pain free experience. At the time I lived with Alec in Bucharest so we took all our information ie bank statements CV evidence of relationship evidence of marriage to the british embassy on in the city centre in Bucharest. After a long wait he was called to a window and once they knoew I was also present they talked with me as well asked how we met when we palnned to marry looked at our money situation and that was that we had a fiance visa in his passort. I was on a career break from my job from may 2002 to may 2003 so I had NO money but 1000 pounds in the bank and Alec had some 4000 american dollars but because I had a job in the uk i could return to earning 700 per month and a letter from my father saying he would support us and let us have free accomodation in his house they issued a visa without problems so I dont think you ahve anything to worry about. Is your fiancee in Romania? I f so I would adivse that he goes very early in the morning to apply for his visa as it takes a few hours to be seen but our visa was issued in one day even though Alec had a propr visa refusal from the USA but he had been granted a visa to the UK. If you have any other questions just shout! we are about to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with trip to Bucharest to see the family lol :)
