British citizenship application

Hi All

I am on ILR in UK after passing 5 years on Tier1.

My wife is Iranian and I am planning to travel to Iran this year. Since these two countries dont have good relations, will travelling to Iran with wife effect my application for British citizenship?

Providing there is nothing to put your character in doubt and you do not exceed the absence limits, travelling to Iran shouldn't be an issue. Does your spouse not want to move here? I believe the relations between the two counties may improve with the recent election results.

Thanks for reply, my wife is already here and I am Pakistani citizen, and I will travel with her to see her parents.
