What visa?

Post by don60 » Sun Aug 04, 2013 4:18 pm

I am currently in the process of buying a flat but the conveyancing is taking a bit of time due to lease details etc.

My wife a non EU citizen is still oversea's with my British citizen daughter and it is getting close to my daughters first birthday that I do not want to miss, but due to work commitments I do not want to fly oversea's to be there.

My wife will be making an application for a spouse visa once the accommodation is organised, so I thought in the meantime it would be a good Idea to fly them to the UK for say 1 month.

What visa should I apply for?

Thanks :)

See here (click) though, with the intent and costs, would it not be wise to just apply for the spouse visa ASAP. Not to mention then need to go back to apply for a spouse visa. Do they need to visit beforehand?

The travel fees as well, back and forth, it's your choice. How are you going to accommodate them when they 'visit'?

D4109125 The conveyancing on my flat will be complete before the visit, so they will live there.

Should my wife apply for a family visa now while I haven't got a permanent address?

I don't want to miss my daughter's first birthday and I have a job that I don't want to take time off at this early stage.
