Help Needed: Waiting For Dependent HSMP Extension Visa

Post by Ankur » Wed May 16, 2007 12:53 pm

Hello Readers,

I have applied for the dependent HSMP Extension Visa for my Daughter in the last week of April, 2007. I got the reference number and letter on 30th April, 2007 saying that your application has been received and will be assigned to the case worker. I have also sent the Urgent Application along with my travel by documents through registered post to the VISA office as as i have travel plan for 25th of May, 2007.
Today, i checked my status with 0870 606 7766 number. They told me that my application is still awaiting consideration. I don't understand that why they are taking so much of time. There is a likely chance that i might miss my flight if i don't get my daughter's Visa stamped.

My case is a very simple case as i already have an HSMP extention approved till Oct, 2010.

Can any body provide me the guidence about what can i do from my side?

Many Thanks.

Ankur,

Always should send Fax for urgent treatment as per guidance.

May be delay is due to that concerned dept. haven't recv. your urgent treatment form so no updates on the system.

Send Fax asap. Will get your passport by early next week. No need of any proof for Travel like tickets etc.

All the best.

I spoke to the HSMP number regarding urgent treatment. They said in cases like this, urgent treatment form shoudl be submitted through registered post. I asked them if they have received the urgent treatment form. They said that they don't have this information on their system.
I don't know what should i do.

Is their any way to check whether they have received the urgent treatment request?

You can just ask them about Urgent tratment status on the system for your application, whihc is already done. Best way now is to send your form by Fax. Normally status get updates in 1-2 working days.

I spoke to the number 0870 606 7766 regarding my urgent treatment status. They said to me that they don't have the information on their system. I also asked that from where i can get the status about my urgent treatment application. They said that they have no idea. I have now left with 3 working days for my travel.

Please let me know what should i do now?

I called the HSMP Status enquiry number today. They told me that they have posted back my passport and documents back to my home address through recorded delivery.

Lets hope i should get this by Thursday.
