WP to Newspaper Representative Switch - Pl help!

I have been on a WP since February 2003 and am due for ILR in eight months time.

I now intend to quit the job for which I have a WP and take up a new job as a Newspaper Representative in the UK.

Is it possible to switch from WP to Newspaper Representative visa?

If so, will the five-year settlement clock be re-set?
