U can just go without formality since ur wife will be exercising her treaty rights by living/working/studying in another EU state.Gen-xtargetmarket wrote:Hello all,
I'm an American citizen, married to French lady, and we're thinking of moving to Germany to live and work. I should also mention that my mother was born and raised in Germany, but left in her 20's in order to emigrate to the United States. I have 6 years left on my Titre de Sejour.
Is anyone familiar with German/E.U. law enough to know whether I can legally work in Germany with my existing Titre de Sejour or must I pursue another route? If so, any ideas or guidance?
Thanks for your help.
I think there would be a problem since no treaty rights would be in force until ur wife is in Germany. And I'm not sure how long she has to be there to exercising her TR, I was told once but I can't remember!Gen-xtargetmarket wrote:Danke schön to you both. I don't suppose that there would be much of a problem if I were to move there in advance of her joining me from Paris, or could that be problematic? We're only talking about a few months of living between both countries.
