Entry to the US on VWP

I've got a bit of a worry regarding entry to the US. I am a British National and intend to arrive there with no Visa and get in because of the waiver scheme.

I was with a group of guys in Germany earlier this year and some of the guys were caught with Cannabis by the Police. We were offered to split the responsibility and pay a fine to avoid arrest. After paying the fine we were free to go but they took our details, passport number etc.

What is the chance that the computer in the US will have this information and I will be refused entry??

If you were not arrested or convicted, then you can probably answer "no" to question B on the visa waiver form. I don't know if what happened to you in Germany counts as a conviction. You may want to post in the following forum, where you can probably find people who are more familiar with this kind of situation:
