Questions regarding SET(O)

Post by aky_5552 » Mon Sep 23, 2013 2:51 pm

Hi Guys,
I'm applying for ILR next year begining. I need some information regarding english language requirements.

1.I have asked the university to provide medium of instruction english certificate however the university does not expand the initials of my name in the certificate. I have approached notary to certify that my name mentioned in the certificate and the name in my passport and visa belongs to same person. Is this evidence sufficient ? This certificate is for my wife.I'm on tier1 visa .Could someone help me on this please ?

You will have to get a NARIC statement of comparability (click) you may also want to see if you can get an English Language Assessment (click) in addition as it would replace the need for a letter from the institution.

Every institute/university can offer replacement transcript/degree if these are being lost/incorrect detail on it. Therefore, preferably contact your institute than notary.
Please donot send PM. Write in open forum to facilitate others too.

I will be applying for ILR soon. Is it ok to fill my dependant details in a single form (SET0 ) or should i be using a seperate from for each dependant ?

1.I'm bit confused in filling question no.5.3
5.3 Are you working in the UK? If so, what is your pay each month
after income tax and other deductions ?
I'm working as a contractor through my limited company and the company pays me a minimum salary and also i withdraw dividends . Is it ok to fill such a less amount as a salary ? any ideas ?

2.I'm printing the payslips on a plain paper and i have asked accountant to give a letter stating that payslips are genuine .is this the right way of doing it ?

Thanks

The dependant details would be included in the same form if applying at the same time and eligible.

Further information regarding the degree, if it is awarded points on the PBS calculator then a print screen of this and the certificate should suffice in addition to LIUK.
