Emplyee pension contribution

Hi,
I am confused regarding pension earning.
Is employee pension contribution(Not employer) is included into earning OR not?
According to Tier1 guidance employer pension contribution is not included but it does not say anything about employee pension contribution.


In my case i am contributing 4% and employer is contributing 4% as well so total 8%.
