Entrepreneur visa - contract with new client

Post by acaahg » Wed Oct 09, 2013 6:17 pm

My business is about to enter into a contract with a new client to manage a project. We anticipate the project will require about 10 months to complete and it will require a significant amount of work. My client is concerned that there is a minimum amount of hours I can spend on the project a week before that is considered full time employment.

Can someone please advise if there is a minimum hour or days cap? We will be basing the contract on an agreed daily rate.

No !
Thr is no rule like that. I am now working on a contract at a place for about 1.2 years. Irrespective of the visa , the job I am doing is a contract job and a contract job has nothing to do with number of hrs (Except accountability in Invoice ). My guess is that its that company's internal policy that if X amount of work requires Y amount of hrs and the total cost is greater than Z GBP than Hire a permanent staff rather than a contractor.

So nothing to do with visa or hrs. it has to be internal company policy :)
