Urgent!!!

Post by cloudysky99 » Wed Jun 06, 2007 11:49 am

Hi,
My mother in law is due to have a major surgery within 2 weeks in the UK and i really really want to be with her during these trying times because she is a very sweet gentle lady and has always been more like a mother to me than anything else.. who do i contact at the BHC to help me sort out this problem so i can fly straight to UK to be with her. i have applied for spouse visa nearly 7 weeks ago and my application is very straight forward its just the time factor which we were willing to accept had it not been this sudden emergency.
Any advise would be much appreciated
Thanks in advnce

OK, I think the best you can do is to contact the visa section at the BHC and explain the situation, and ask them if they would kindly expedite your visa application.

If you can fax them proof of your m-i-l's medical condition ..... well let's say that could only help your situation.

Thanks for the advise John.. One quick question what are the chances that they will understand my situation and help me out because everytime i call BHC they are always very rude and never give me a correct answer to my query and thats very discouraging

Cloudsky I think it is pointless to ask what are your chances???
If you think about it, it isn't a very good reason for them to approve your visa as you are asking them to rush the decision making process (hopefully in your favor) While it is admirable you want to be there for your mother in law, its not your mother but your partners so its not like she doesn't have someone there for support.

Of course, submitting documentation always makes your case much more personal so submit as quickly as possible. Obviously calling BHC is futile.
