Applying for my childs naturalisatin

Post by Siggi » Fri Jun 08, 2007 10:34 pm

My daughter was born in the UK at which time I did'nt have ILR.

When I apply for ILR and succeed in Aug, do I apply for ILR for my daughter too or do I leave her out and then apply for her naturalisation after I have my ILR???

The child is still a child? Under 18 years of age? In which case you will not apply to naturalise her as British. Instead you will apply to Register her as British.

But first, when you apply for your ILR you should include your child in the application. After all, there is no cost involved in adding the child to your ILR application.

After you have your ILR you can use form MN1 to register your child as British.
