ILR and no job

Post by benneviss » Wed Oct 23, 2013 6:53 am

What happens when you apply for ILR and does not have a job?

For example; My contract finishes on 30 November and appointment for ILR is on 18 December , however I scored points on 30 November .

Do they check your employment status on the day ?

I read some posts that you can have debt but should not have CCJ at the time of application as they check your affordability.

If you're a contractor and are a director of a limited company then you're not unemployed even if you are out of contract for a brief period of time.

You may be paying yourself salary and company dividends when your between contracts because you're employed by your company.

Hope this helps.
