counting years

i came to uk with a six months visit visa on 24/4/2009 then applied for a resident permit which was granted on 25/3/2010. i want to apply for an indefinite leave to remain. when should i start counting my five years? thanks.

For EEA applications you get Permanent Residency automatically but can apply for PR card for proof. I suggest you read EEA FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting under Permanent Residence.

ILR is for UK immigration applications. Though both PR and ILR infer settlement.

On what basis did you obtain the RC in the first place? Marriage to EEA national? unmarried partner? Other category?

Citizenship (adults, children, passport)
EEA (EEA FP, RC, PR, Surinder Singh)
