Combination of Income to meet financial requirement

My friends husband earned £22,396.00 for the last financial year through £14,000 non salaried employment and the rest self employment cat f.

They need to meet £22,400 as my friend has a son from a previous relationship who is applying also as her dependent

They're applying from in the UK as she's switching from student visa.

Would there be any discretion on them being £4.00 short of the financial requirement?

Can they combine any savings, is that allowed. We looked at appendix fm and there was a cross in the box!

The amount of savings required would need to be 16,004 held for six months. That's because the entry level starts and 16 and then one add the shortfall. Also, as this is an application for leave tor remain, if she is working, her salary can contribute as well.

Having said all of this, I don't think a shortfall of 4 pounds would matter.

Savings required would be £16010. If they fail to meet the financial requirement and only that, the case will be put on hold until at least March 2014.
