Partner Visa - Employment

Post by StueyT12 » Mon Nov 25, 2013 10:29 am

Hi all,

I'm aware of the financial requirements needed (£18,600). I meet this myself through my own salary. However, if my partner is employed at the time of application is she required to state this, and provide documents to this effect at all?
Reason I ask is that due to lack of opportunities where we live now, she has had to accept a job elsewhere, meaning that mon-fri she'll be living near he job and returning on weekends. Considering I alone meet that threshold, then we'd rather not submit anything that shows her job is over 200 miles away if we don't have to.
She'll remain on the lease and bills here, and bank statements will still come to this address.

Any insight is much appreciated

If you satisfy the requirement alone then even with gathering evidence, it's just a lot simpler to stick with that...
