Partner Visa

Post by StueyT12 » Sat Nov 23, 2013 6:27 pm

My partner and I have been living together for 21 months, however to get a job she has had to accept one in London due to the lack of jobs here in her field. This job starts next week.

My question is whether her working in London, yet remaining on the lease here and coming back each weekend would count against her when applying for FLR on an unmarried partner basis?

This is strictly due to the lack of job opportunities for her where we live now.

Cheers in advance

So far as you can show a subsisting relationship and keep cohabitation proof you should be ok.

Partner Visa - Employment

I'm aware of the financial requirements needed (£18,600). I meet this myself through my own salary. However, if my partner is employed at the time of application is she required to state this, and provide documents to this effect at all?
Reason I ask is that due to lack of opportunities where we live now, she has had to accept a job elsewhere, meaning that mon-fri she'll be living near he job and returning on weekends. Considering I alone meet that threshold, then we'd rather not submit anything that shows her job is over 200 miles away if we don't have to.
She'll remain on the lease and bills here, and bank statements will still come to this address.

Any insight is much appreciated
