Schengen forms for Greek application - Standard form??

Post by seanoflynnmlp » Tue Jun 19, 2007 4:19 pm

Here's the situation -

I'm british and my wife is S. African on a spousal visa.

We are travelling to Greece at the end of July and she has an appointment at the greek embassy to apply for her schengen visa.

The website says she can get a form on the day but one of the phone lines she rang said she had to bring a completed form with her documents.

However the phone number they gave us was a fax number that they said we had to call and a form would get faxed back through (didnt work) and then when she called again they said she had to send a stamped addressed envelope form off to get a copy of the form (never arrived)

My question is -

Does she need the form filled in before she gets there or can she fill it in on the day, and if the answer is she does need it - is the form the standard form that I have seen on the internet or is there a different form for the greek embassy?

If they refuse to process her application because she doesnt have a completed form we will not have enough time (4 weeks) to arrange for another appointment and application.

What could we do?

I would play it safe and take a completed form along with you. My husband applied for a schengen visa at the Greek Embassy two years ago and I downloaded the standard form from the French Embassy website:

Good luck, the Greek Embassy in London is a bit of a nightmare.
