Travel in and out of UK on Tier 2 ICT Long Term - Salary

Can Individuals holding Tier 2 ICT long term visa travel back and forth. for example:

My Tier 2 ICT is processed and is valid for 3 Years, but my project requirement is only for 3 months as of now and come back to my home country. My employer says that i might have to travel on need basis to UK until my entry clearance is valid.

Now the Question is can the employer pay two types of salaries.
When im in UK, i get UK agreed salary as per SOC Codes.
When im in my home country, i get my usual home country salary.

is this possible.
