Biometric query

Hi.
Soon I am applying my spouse visa from karachi pakistan. I have quick question about biometric scan, do they take your full hand scan or just fingers and thumb scan otherwise it could be a problem as I am planning to apply henna on my hands. Anyone could shed some light on please.

According to the UKBA guide on these things - you may wish to avoid doing that if there's any risk to your fingerprint scans:
