Financial requirement to bring partner

Post by symo » Thu Nov 28, 2013 7:38 pm

Hi there

I'm British citizen and going to marry who is living outside of EU.

Please if you guys would give information on financial requirement to bring my partner that is

1. Only British citizen has to earn £18600 p/a ? Or both British citizen and his partner have to earn this amount altogether ?

2. There is an alternative option who can't earn £18600 p/a which is showing deposit minimum £16100 in bank/building society. My position is that I can show deposit £6000 in bank and my partner can show other amount (£10,100) in the bank in his country. Is it ok ?

Regards.

1. only your (sponsor) income is considered.

2. savings of 16,100+18,600*2.5= 62,600 needed, which can be combined but needs to be in bank for 6 months as i remember, recently they seems to be slightly relaxed for this 6 months if you can show proof of selling shares or property, but check on the guidance. its not 16k but 62.6k

Hi Rivercam

Thanks for your reply. It would be great if you please gave link of UKBA from where I could get more clear picture. Thanks.
