Dependent HSMP Vs PFT Visa

Post by natopt » Tue Mar 30, 2004 1:30 pm

Hi,

This query relates to a medical doctor having HSMP Dependent Visa and a job offer as Senior Housemanship Officer, and yet to land in the UK.

Would the HSMP dependent visa be converted to PFT ?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of HSMP dependent visa over PFT?

Many thanks
Natopt

Congragulations - if you managed to land a SHO job from overseas.

As you will be on HSMP depedant Visa, you can switch to anything else that you want (within the law). However, your experience/expertise will be highly scrutinised...unless you are from say Oz, SA, NZ and other countries with 'compatible' medical qualifications.....
Where there is a will there is a way.

Thanks chess, for your reply and suggestions.

Any other comments from other members on the forum.
Especially, interested to know is PFT mandatory for medical doctors, or will they allow dependent HSMP to continue....?!?

I would wish that the HSMP dependent visa would continue as it provides extension of not only prinicipal HSMP holder but the entire family as well....

Natopt.
