Tier 2 to ILR + PBS dependent application

Post by s0787671 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 1:11 pm

HI,

I have gone thru the application form and it seems like I can do pbs dependent application in the same form.

- I am moving from Tier 2 to ILR and my wife is already on PBS dependent visa

1) what should a letter from employer state for my absence from UK.

During past 5 years I have been away from UK twice, both of which where my annual leave, which was not more than 30 days in a year. Now I dont understand what kind of proof would I be able to show or will a letter from employer stating that i was on my annual leave during that period be enough?

Because my employer has nothing to do with where I go during that holiday period, so how will they mention he was out of the country during his annual leave?

2) Maintenance funds, do I need to show any funds in my bank account for PBS dependent? as a tier2 applicant, I usually dont have to show any funds, please correct me, if I am wrong.

3) SET O form asks for a date, when I entered UK (First) after I got my tier2 Visa. But in my situation, I was on a Post study work visa and I was in UK already, so what should this date be?

Thanks in Advance
Bharat

1 . I do not think that you have to show any proof for your absence which were your annual leaves. You only have to show evidence if it is more than 180 days in 5 yrs, otherwise a letter from yourself stating your absence details should be enough.
