Change to the rules

Post by nicklondon2014 » Mon Dec 09, 2013 1:40 pm

Recently I been reading a lot of articles how many families been hit by rules introduced last year by the goverment in regards to issuing visa for elders.

The rules are by my undertanding impossible to prove, as if someone was in such a state that it would be even impossible to bring that person over to UK as flights wont apply someone that ill to fly.

Does anyone have any knowledge if these rules are being questioned or may change in near future 2-3 years? Are they even questioned in parliament?

There was a flyer on Britcits.com regarding a demonstration to be held this week concerning sponsorship of elderly parents but I have not seen any real questioning of the 'new' rule. I am sure it affects many people however. I have a good friend who can no longer go and live in the UK with her British children and, as she is widowed, they are very concerned about her future. All she can do while she is fit and well enough is to travel back and forth spending a few months each year in the UK.

There does not seem to be any hope as far as new immigration rules are concerned, be if for spouse/partners or parents.

For ill and elderly parents, the only way could be through european courts, if such a case ever happens and succeeds.

Somehow someone convince judges that being able to look after ill and / or elderly parents is an article 8 right, and it is unlawful for a member county to put conditions which almost no-one can meet.
