Fiance visa - parent details

My partner is in her thirties, lives with her parents but has a very poor relationship with them, and does not wish them to be involved at all in her future, or in our marriage. The fiancé visa application form asks for details of parents. Can anybody tell me what happens with these details – for instance, would her parents be contacted in relation to the application? If so, why would that be? Also can she give a postal box address for her own contact details? Her parents have been known to open her mail. Thanks if you can help.

The parents of an adult applicant will not, in any circumstances, be contacted. Besides, no address for these inividuals is requested. The information is used to assist in identification of the applicant. Her contact address can be different to her physical address.
