Could anyone who applied recently on form MN1 under British Nationality Act’ Section 1(3) for child under 10 years old can help me what document I need to send.

I recently applied for my children and this is what you will need. (you do not your daughter's biometric and I believe that you are talking about your ILR Biometric Residence Permit in point 4. Make sure you send original not copies.)

The following documents were requested by Nottingham City Council NCS Team for our appointment.

• A completed citizenship application form MN1

• Signed consent of both parents (if present in the UK) and a written explanation on the consent page of the MN1 form, if this is not possible.

• One passport photograph of the child with their name written on the back, which should be glued to the application form.

• Proof of either parent’s settled status i.e. Indefinite Leave to Remain, Indefinite Leave to Enter or Right of Abode.

• Marriage certificate of parents, plus translation if required

• Full UK birth certificate, showing parental details or other document showing the relationship between parents and child – i.e. NASS 035, child benefit/ child tax credit statement or entry clearance visa.

• The full, correct application fee

Please note:

• All documents produced should be originals and not photocopies

• Translations should be provided for any foreign language documents

Nov and no news yet.

The city council lady in my appointment mentioned me that there was a huge backlog of applications in Home Office. Mainly due to change in the english language assessment rule from 28 oct 2013. She said it might take upto 3 months now for the application to process. And 6 weeks for payment to be taken. If it happens before this I might be very lucky and it would be a miracle.

1. Did your two children get ILR before the BC application?
2. How old are they?

My both child are came with me in 2006 and yes they were granted ILR before BC the first one is 11year old and the second one is 8year old. The home office is very crazy because they west the time of refugees like me in 2006 I claimed asylum but they didn`t replied until Sep 2007 then I applied set protection route ILR in August 2012 and got ILR on 21th Feb 2013 in this time they also affect my Citizenship. From October 2013 all category will need to show both requirement example Life in the uk test and ESOL level B1 any way my friendly advice to you don`t take the risk discretion sec 3.1

I can confirm we received your application on the 25th October at our Liverpool Office. We have currently received a large influx in applications due to the recent changes on the 28th October. Please allow a further 2 weeks for your payment to be taken.You should receive an acknowledgment letter between 4-6 weeks after we received your application.
