CoS Maintenance and accommodation option

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the maintenance and accommodation option on the CoS request form. I have been told only sponsors of a certain grade (i.e. A or B..etc) possess the maintenance option on the SMS system. Can anybody tell me if this is the case?

The company that I am going to start work for is an A grade sponsor and is a well known IT firm. I have to seek this route as there was a problem with my maintenance funds.

The company has asked me to provide a list of details/steps that are required from their side to generate the right CoS and I would like to know if there are any specific criteria the company has to fulfil for the above maintenance option to be available?

P.S. I plan to go via the unrestricted CoS route.

Only an A-rated sponsor can certify maintenance. They do this by ticking a box on the CoS before it is assigned. Have them send you the full CoS (either as a screenshot or saved as a PDF - when they view the CoS there is a "print" option box which can be clicked and brings up a "save as" option to save as a PDF).

Thanks for your guidance Station Agent. As of earlier today my company has a Tier 2 A rating. So I presume it that it shouldn't be a problem?

The company HRs aren't well versed in this unfortunately and they have asked me to guide them in the exact steps and process to acquire the above mentioned unrestricted CoS through their Sponsorship Management System.

Are there any links or guidance threads on the boards here that help newbies like me in the actual process?

I'm also having trouble finding the appropriate SOC codes for my position.

My official designation is a Junior Product Marketing Manager with base salary touching 27k, but I'm unable to find an exact match for the job title and the role responsibilities as the SOC code list supplied by the UKBA.

Any ideas?

If the company is a T2 A-rated sponsor they should know how to assign a CoS and shouldn't look to you for help. The guidance is here:

Without knowing your job description possible SOC codes may be 1132 or 3545.
