Spouce visa question

Post by creppeljp » Sun Dec 15, 2013 7:30 am

I am a US Citizen and I am about to marry my partner who is a UK citizen. We are thinking about moving to the UK after we get married and start our life there. Are there income/savings requirements for me to get a spousal visa? I know if he were living in the UK at the time, they require a certain income level, but he lives here with me and we just want to move to the UK and start working there. Is this possible, or do I need to save a certain amount of money before I even apply for a visa?

Your partner if living in the US will need to have a job offer for within 3 months of his/her return unless you have significant savings, rental income etc....
