EEA Residence card

Post by Sunshine86 » Tue Dec 17, 2013 5:37 pm

Hi

Just a few questions abt EEA Residence card -

When applying for the RC in the UK, does my British partner need to have a job or can we just apply straightaway once our arrival in the UK from another member state ie Ireland after exercising treaty rights.

Does my partner need to be there in the UK with me when I am applying for the RC as my partner has traveling plans for next year? Also, would him travelling abroad can affect my application in any way?

Once I have the RC for the UK, how long can I live abroad for? And if I did apply for PR at the end of this 5 year then how long can I stay away in abroad for?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Jambo

Apologies if there are duplicacies in regards to the queries as I usually make note of all my doubts in one place and then paste them here.

I realize only the first one is, but not the rest.

Thank you
