ESOL Requirments - Confused

Post by saqib389 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 4:42 pm

Hi Guys

My Wife came in January 2012 and i am due to apply ILR after 3 months and by that time she will be here with me as a Tier 1 General Dependent for more than 2 years which means she will be able to apply ILR with me.

She was done Life in UK test.

I have Two Questions.

1. Does she need to do ESOL ?
2. If she needs to do ESOL then how can I be able to book ESOL test ?

s there a list of approved centres from where I can be able to book ESOL test for my wife ?

Thanks
SA

If her degree was taught in english then she needs to produce evidence from university and validate it through NARIC. Also take a print out of point based calculator if it awards 10 points for english assessment for that degree.

Alternatively , you can go for Trinity college GESE Grade 5 exam which is equivalent to ESOL Level 3.
