Full time work

Post by sashank » Mon Jun 25, 2007 1:39 pm

Hi All
I am nearing to apply for my ILR (Long residence-student throughout) in 51 days. In the mean time I am offered a position which requires me to work full time (almost 40 hrs). My college is off till september and I am allowed to work during vacation.

My question is am I allowed to take that employment for a contract of 12 month?
The contract states that the it will be valid if I get ILR.

Any thoughts please

Sashank

Will you apply for ILR via same-day processing? By my reckoning, 51 days is Wed 22nd Sept? If you're back at university, then how can you study (on a visa, still?) and work full-time? Even if it is legal, it's a bit stupid unless you're doing part-time studying. And they're offering it to you as long as you get ILR?

Maybe more details needed?

51 day is 15th August is not it? It will be done on 15 Aug, fast track. The term of contract is offer of the job in a condition that if I get ILR, the employment will be continued but contract will be cancelled if my ILR is refused.

After september I will be studying part time because I will not have to attend college as I do now.

I have extended it till tomorrow to sign the contract because I want to be sure before doing that.

Hope this is clear

Err...sorry, my diary only went up to 5th August and then I started doing some funny counting. You'll need to have an airtight application do ensure this contract will be ok.

Let's assume you clocked up 10 years starting as a GCSE/A level student...
