Exercising treaty rights and Jobs bridge

Post by Latintraveller » Sun Dec 29, 2013 11:23 am

Maybe Brigid or someone else may know the answer to this question.

I am exercising my EU treaty rights in Ireland as a self-employed window cleaner so my family may live with me under the terms of the directive. I have a Degree in Computing and after graduating worked in a school in the UK managing an e-Learning system. Since there has been a public sector recruitment embargo in Ireland there are few (if any) of this kind of vacancies here. Recently though a "job" (or scheme) that is very similar to that which I carried out in the UK has become available as part of the Jobs Bridge programme. I am currently getting a little dole as "top-up" to my low wages. I was wondering if I applied and was successful regarding this vacancy if I would still be "exercising my EU treaty rights" and whether my Stamp 4 family members may remain.

Your thoughts and advise would be appreciated.
