SOC code AND sub category

Post by grampian » Mon Dec 30, 2013 6:41 am

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask quick question. I would like to apply for job soc code 2213. It again has several salary bands.
So if my employer confirms salary as £40000 per year (39 hour per week) and doesn't say what (salary rate) band it reflects is that okay?

it has different salary rates for example, band 5& equivalent, band 6& equivalent etc..

I appreciate your input regarding this. I am confused as job code and sub category both are important or only job code is important?

thank you very much.

If the salary bands were not relevant they would not be listed in SOC 2010. The sponsor should put the relevant band, or which band your actual job is equivalent to, in the CoS
