claiming benefits after ILR

Post by WellCare » Tue Dec 24, 2013 2:16 pm

Hi Guys.
First of all thanks for this forum that helped me a lot in getting my Ilr which I got yesterday.
Now I have a question about benefits as I never applied for my children for ILR.Do I have to wait till they get registered as bc or I can claim child benefit straight away now.
As one of them was on my tier1 general dependent visa with no resouce to public , does it matter as he brp card is still got valid date till end of next month.

Your guidance and help much valued.

Regards

Wel

Assuming your children were born in the Uk, yes you should be able to claim child benefit straight away.
