Switching from Tier4 to Tier2 - general questions

Post by Umar Memon » Sat Jan 04, 2014 8:03 pm

Which type of visa do I have to apply if I get employed by any company?

What kind of paper work is required from company?

Does the company need a licence to sponsor me?

How could company get a licence?

What should they have to do to get licence?

I would start by looking around the UKBA website:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... 2/general/

You would need a Tier 2 visa which ties you to a specific role in a specific company. They must be an approved sponsor (there are different requirements depending on the type of company). The important thing for you is to apply for roles that are eligible to be sponsored. They must meet certain salary and job role specifications (it basically has to be a graduate-type position). You cannot be sponsored for roles like stacking shelves, or even being a personal assistant.

When you have slightly more specific questions, I am sure we would be happy to help. But it might be easier for you to do some of the research yourself on the UKBA website first.

Thank You so much for your replay,

Yeah I did some research on it and get an idea what should I have to ask now the thing is that,

I was working on a company as a part time assistant engineer and then the company had a post of graduate engineer which I got it because as I was working from few month before now they want to give me a permanent place but the problem is that my visa will gonna be expire in this year, so but they offered me that they will get the license for applying my visa but I have to work out and have to present and explain each and every thing that how could they get the license to sponsor me.

I will be very thankful to you if you let me know what would they have to do for there application.

Thanks
