Are payslips enough for fiance visa?

Post by gamma911 » Fri Jun 29, 2007 12:15 am

Hi there,

I currently only have payslips for the last 5 months, is this enough to prove that I can suppost myself?

I also have a letter on letterhead paper confirming my payrise from the 1st of June.

The reason I cannot submit a bank statement is due to the fact that my current account is an online only ACCOUNT and no statements are issued.

Will this be enough, and would you recommend I apply in person or by post?

Thanks

Even though no statements have been issued at that particular month, you can always ask your bank to issue the ones for the past few months, with some banks charging a nominal fee for the service.

Alternatively, you can take a printout of your statements and get it attested by the bank and then use them with your application.

Either way a bank statement is an integral part of your application and applying without one is not something someone sane would recommend.

All online banks will issue you with a formal paper statement, on request and likely for a small fee if you call them up.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

Fair enough but even though the guidance notes say OR payslips OR bank statements?

Another issue is that my payslips do not say the same company name as what is on my bank account statements \(online) Would a letter from the company saying something explaining the fact do?

What do they check that the amount on the payslip matches the amount in the bank or also that the two names are the same?
