Payment for Naturalisation

On the payment slip I provided details of my debit card to pay £874.
In the event the payment fails, does the application get rejected or will the Home Office contact me to provide details for another form of payment?

Always better to wait for the HO to contact you, then take it from there and no your application does not get rejected for failed payments.
