Help for ILR requirements

Post by JKB » Tue Jan 14, 2014 10:03 pm

Hello all,

I need help for my ILR.

My came to UK in March 2012 as dependent to my husband who was on work permit. He got his ILR in November 2013. His BRP is valid for 10 years. Same month I had to extended my visas and got it extended till November 2014. I have already passed Life in the UK test.
I am now qualified to apply for ILR in March 2014. I have following queries to ask

- Am I qualified to apply for ILR as my 2 years qualifying period will be over?
- Which form I have to appy under SET(M) or SET(O)?
- I had my academic qualification in English throughout. Do I still need to give B1 english test?
- I have got my transcripts and degree certificate from Mumbai University which confirms English as my medium of instruction. Do I still need to get my degree approved by UK NARIC?

I look forward to responses and suggestions.

Thanks

JKB

Please help me in understanding the process better.

If you previously used FLR(M) to extend, then you may use SET(M) for ILR.

Don't think it was FLR(M) was it? The leave was only granted for 12 months, may have been WP extension and thus SET(O). However, even if FLR(M) OP will not have satisfied the probationary period required for SET(M), will she?

Thanks Amber & Vinny for your reply.

Infact my husband got his ILR in November 2012 and not 2013 as wrongly written by me.
I also got my visas extended in November 2012 not 2013. Hence the leave granted was for 2 years upto November 2014.

Please let me know which form is best to apply.

Assuming it was FLR(M) you can apply for SET(M) in November 2014, unless you were a PBS dep and not WP dep.
