Tier 2 Short Term ICT VISA 6 months

VISA Type: Tier 2 ICT Short Term
Start Date:31/10/2013
End Date:30/04/14

Due to delay in the project start date I have not yet travelled to the UK.I had the be low queries.

1.Is there any specific period before the end date before which I have to travel the UK so that My Visa doesnt get expired?

2.If I travel to Uk before the end date will i be permitted to extend the VISA to complete the 12 months till 31/10/2014?

no, but within reason. If you turned up at the UK border a couple of days before your visa expires I doubt if you would be given leave to enter. Have a letter from your sponsor with you explaining the project delay.

yes, once you are in the UK you can apply for an extension to 30/10/2014 provided you continue working for the same employer but do apply before 30/04/2014. You will need a new CoS.

If i donot travel before the end date i.e 30/04/14.I assume my Visa will expire
Is that correct?

If yes.Will I have to face any cooling period before I can apply again?

Also if I travel before 30/04/2014.Wi;ll i be able to file for extention from the UK itself?Or will i have to return to India to file an extension?

yes

no, your employer should assign a new CoS to you and you can then apply for entry clearance straight away

yes, but you should apply for an extension before 30/04/14
