Mother overstaying her visa in UK

Post by ismayil1981 » Fri Jan 17, 2014 10:05 pm

Hello Dear All
I would be most grateful if you could kindly advice on this matter. I have two questions:

1. My mother overstayed her two year visitor visa by 8 months. Will she ever be able to enter UK? She has now volunteerly left however was spotted at Haathrow.

2. Will I be punished by UKBA for allowing her to live in my house?

We though she had a three year visa when we discovered she is late.

Thanks a lot for your advice

No visitor visa is 2 years long. They are valid for 2 years, with a maximum 6 month stay each time.

So did she overstay for 8 months or 26 months?

Either way - she'll now be subject to an automatic ban for 12 months from the date she left the UK.

Thanks.

What about my situation? Will I be prosecuted?
