Citizenship - 450 day max limit

Post by talktome » Sun Jul 01, 2007 11:35 pm

Hi there,
I have completed 5 yrs (4ys WP + 1 yr ILR) and am now thinking of applying for citizenship. I am basically meeting all requirements except the 450 day limit for absences. My abscences are adding upto 460 days.
About 200 days of these are due to work and I can get letters from my company to justify them.
Has anyone in a similar situation being rejected i.e. crossed the limit , justified the excess via company letters and still got rejected.

Please advise

Thanks
-Talktome:-)

That should pass, go to the home office web site and type in residency, you should find a document that discusses the number days and work related absences. As you already seem to know about the 450 day guideline, you should already have figured that another 10 days is unlikely to defeat your application when the absences are correlated to business trips
