Hi all..I would like to get some advice..my parent have come to the uk yesterday and were given a paper stating they have admission but are liable to be detained..It was given to them at the airport.
They got only five days admission. Previously in 2005 my mother had overstayed as she spent 12 months in a 16 month period and she did not disclose that my sister had no valid leave to remain here. This is what is written on the paper given to them. For this matter my sister was under the threat of being killed by her boyfriend at the time who is a known gangster to the police. That man told my mother that he will kill my sister if he is reported. During her 12 month stay here, my mother was staying with my other sister and she only saw my sister mentioned in the paper 2 times during that period as her boyfriend was keeping her captive. This is known to thw police. Now my sister has got ILR as she has a british son and is fully legal in the country.
Furthermore as my sister was referred to get mental health facilities she was starting to get better over time but in 2012 she fell very ill with a severe case of pnemonia (she also has asthma) and with the mental health problems she was at a breaking point and thought she was going to die. She asked for a medical certificate to make my parents come here just to see them as she could not travel back but their visa was refused due to lack of supporting documents for their financial situation but my parents showed and official statement from their bank where they had the money required.
On top of that it is stated in the paper that I, their son, has had my leave to remain as a student curtailed but yet I am still in the Uk. I dont understand that statement as I am still attending uni and has my PRB until march 2014. I was refused my student visa the first time in 2011 because my bank statement did not have a header but got and emergency appointment and was able to make a new application with the right document and my visa was granted. I think they are mistaking the two instances.
This time they came on the ground that my sister with whom my mother lived when she was there is getting married and also for them to meet their grand daughter who was born in November and who is already british. They applied for only one month stay and was refused. My parents are very old, retired, have no criminal convictions and own several plots of land in my country why would the UKBA think they are not genuine and want to settle here..Please I have only five days can someone help me..I beg you..
